This is merely a place where I have put a list of the references, books and information that I found helpful useful and insightful.
The most interesting book by far was, Cancer Why We Are Still Dying to Know the Truth
Another reference that we were stunned to find, stumble across. Was this one.
It is not a book about how to get well, or some such thing. My mum and I were sitting in a hotel room after one of Dad's new alternate treatments, this was August the 6th. It had been a tiring day and we were worn out.
Switched the TV on to see what was there, and on came Australian Story. (for those who do not know Australian Story is a documentary type program made by ABC the Australian national broadcaster) Australian Story usually covers interesting people, places or events.
We couldn't believe what we watched, it was a story about two people from the CSIRO (an Australian National research organization). Who worked on a new cancer treatment using more natural herbal supplements. While they did not disclose what the supplements were it was basically what our family had turned to. They had a test subject (Sir Malcolm McIntosh, the then director of the CSIRO) who had terminal kidney cancer. Their results were so successful they left the CSIRO and started their own company. Sir Malcolm lived 12 months longer than expected, the doctors decided that since his recovery was so good they would try Chemo again. (Unfortunately he caught a bug and passed away, not from the cancer however).
Link to the Australian Story . Links to some of the research, bacteria delivered Chemo, and Mini Cells deliver lethal load
We are not sure if it we were meant to see it or not. But it really felt like it at the time.
There is also this article that I found on cancer in general, there is a copy on the front page.
Cancer Treatment - He Took The Well Trodden Path That Led to Nowhere
By Chris Teo, Ph.D.
San is a 65-year old male from Indonesia. He sent me an e-mail on 8 August 2007 with the following message.
I was first diagnosed with stage 3B lung cancer on August 1, 2005. The cancer was found in my left lung. At that time my left lung was two-third filled with fluid. The doctor tapped out the fluid from my lung and this was followed by chemotherapy. Doctor said chemo had to be done immediately otherwise the cancer would spread further.
Success stories, there are lots of successful stories. Don't be disheartened, check out this short video from survivors.
